The Camron-Stanford House still stands at the intersection of 14th Street and Lakeside in Oakland. The house now serves as an exhibit hall and home to the Oakland Heritage Alliance. The house was built by William Walker Camron and his wife Alice Marsh Camron. It was the original location of the Oakland Museum. Josiah Stanford, older brother of Leland, the founder of Stanford University, also lived in the house.
